WaiBOP United has been established following the cessation of Waikato FC and waibop soccer.

The WaiBOP United FC was approached by clubs within the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region who felt it was important the region maintained a flagship team and so WaiBOP United was created.

The WaiBOP Football federation will look to build on Waikato FC’s good work in retaining a top level men’s football team and a youth team in the ASB Premiership.
